White Ash Vanity
This design focuses on clarity of line and form while taking full advantage of the beauty of materials. The lightness of the white ash is contrasted with the depth and weight of the dark granite top.
Kitchen with Unique Details
Here is a kitchen I recently finshed in Mantua, Ohio. It's constructed from hard maple, features a couple of glass doors , uppers that reach the ceiling , and a couple of decorative details that took a little extra time but added significant character. One is the crown molding which is scribed to the ceiling for a thoroughly finished look. The other is the custom designed decorative panels in front of and above the sink that utilize the distinctive character of quartersawn sycamore.

Art Supply Cabinet w/ Flat Files
A nine drawer flat file in hard maple with a supply cabinet above. Plenty of drawer and shelf space to accomodate various tools and paraphenalia.
Toy Block Cabinet
Built from honey locust and black walnut, this toy block cabinet can be wheeled to any location in the house to build extensive fantastic block castles/constructions. Casters on the case and the large bottom drawer keep it from tipping when the heavy drwers are extended.

Bakers Table
As a baker myself I was delighted to be asked by this young baker to construct a work table for her. It has a hefty hard maple top and a sturdy white pine base and will live up to countless dough kneadings.
Cherry Pine Staicase
To tie in with the white pine timber framing of the house I designed this staircase with massive white pine newel posts. Contrasting the white pine is the cherry treads and handrail. It features a unique goose neck at the landing and the ballaster on the second floor is removable to allow easy furniture moving. I must thank my friend Prentice Grassi for ably finishing this project when I was pulled away by other matters.
Loft Stairs
Here a winder makes good use of what little space was available to fit this staircase in. This was a heartwarming project in a wonderful and modest home. The white pine has such a soft and laid back feel too.
Office Built-In
Designed and constructed to fit into a tight second floor office space this desk features plenty of drawer space with custom dovetail jointery and a slide out writing platform.
Hemlock Barn Doors
This was a great project for a wonderful couple in rural Maine. We used hemlock they had milled and air dried on site. Something so beautiful about fresh wood next to the old weathered siding.
Maple Bench
This bench ties into the Maple Kitchen. It featues hinged seats to access storage and decorative brackets.
Maple Kitchen
Here solid maple constrution is left unstained to enjoy the woods natural beauty. The uppers are left open and a bench in the far corner for dinning ties into the cabinetry. Pictured here are a few unique details.
Kitchen Dragonfly
This kitchen in rural Maine has many delightful features not least of which is the massive 6 ft. x 8 ft butcher block topped island which has been balanced by the light from the adjacent window equal in scale. I particularly enjoyed composing several carved elements one of which is pictured here before painting and installion above the sink window. It features the ubiquituos Maine fern and the dragonfly that every summer evening in that area swarms in dramatic acrobatic aerial chase for their mosquito dinner.
Garden Benches
I designed these garden benches to be elements in the design of the garden. One has been finished, the other left to weather.
