Mission Inspired Custom Cherry Set

This custom built set of two end tables and a coffee  table was designed using Mission style elements. Strong geometry, elegant arches and eye catching pattern combine beautifully with the warm rich tone of the cherry wood. Details such as the bevel cut edging and the handcut dovetail joinery in the end table drawers reveal the craftsmanship devoted to these pieces.

New Cutting/Serving Boards

A few new items I recently finished in time for the Chardon Square Arts Festival on Sunday August 7 from 10am to 5pm. Great for gifts or to add a little useful art to your own kitchen.

New at Market

Adding some color to my line of goods this year are these stained white ash finger jointed recipe boxes.

My contribution to a recent bathroom renovation. A radiator cover/bookcase and a custom built medicine cabinet.

Small is Beautiful

There is little reason a kitchen needs to be big to create a delightful well functioning space. The design here focused on maximizing storage , providing ease of movement and maintaining as open a feel as possible. The maple cabinets were kept there natural color and go beautifully with the granite countertops and onyx tiles.

Black Walnut Bench

The design goals of honesty, clarity, craftsmanship and beauty could not be better suited than for a meditation bench.

The pitched seat is slightly shaped and the carved cavity underneath creates a handle for easy carrying. The finish is a few coats of linseed oil.

Custom Marraige

This primarily prefab cabinet kitchen had a spatial situation that no cabinet from a catalog would resolve. So this bar/cabinet was designed to serve both seating needs and fit the spatial requirements of the kitchen layout. An added benefit to the design was plenty of shelving and drawer space. Also kept in mind was to marry the custom work to the prefabs using form and color.
